The Life of a Nerd A Comicon Experience THE STUDENT LIFE BLOG

The Life of a Nerd A Comicon Experience THE STUDENT LIFE BLOG Composed By: Amy Bridges | Featured Image by: Amy Bridges [Featured picture portrays show goers in comic alley] At the point when life gets the chance to be excessively and I'm feeling overpowered there is consistently one thing that can support the uneasiness and stress totally disperse … a show. Walk 15-17 was Toronto Comicon, and, while it wasn't equivalent to Fan Expo Toronto (which will be held in August of this current year), it was what I required… a break. The fervor of strolling over the extension to get into the conference hall and riding the lifts down to the show floor filled me with those magnificent warm recognizable sentiments. Fervor, having a place, satisfaction and even a touch of apprehension all folded into one. The second I hit the recognizable stripped floor covering I realized I was home. I was with similar individuals getting a charge out of the shopping, the cosplays and the stars. While there were components that I was feeling the loss of that I have become used to during Fan Expo, it was as yet an awesome con. There were merchants all over. I knew some of them from past cons, however there were numerous I hadn't seen previously and there was a blend all through the con floor from huge names to outside the box merchants and craftsmen. All through the con show floor I could hear chuckling and fervor from individuals at long last finding that one thing they were searching for or from youngsters seeing their legends face to face. One of the familiarities that caused the con to feel progressively like my con was the 501st Legion. A gathering of Star Wars cosplayers decked out in Stormtrooper gear, deck officials and even Jabba the Hut came out for the end of the week. In addition to the fact that we got to give to good cause, however we at long last won a wager… and kid did we win. This year with my little buys I got the opportunity to bring home a 25 by 20 inch Tie Fighter reproduction! Despite the fact that Toronto Comicon was not the huge lavish show that I have come to know and love, it was as yet an incredible end of the week and an awesome encounter. For those of you considering dunking your toe into what a con resembles, however you would prefer not to hop into the enormity that is Fan Expo, Toronto Comicon is the con for you. Since I have enjoyed my smaller than normal reprieve in the semester the time has come to return to those papers, so until next time, continue nerding.
